Condition: Used (vintage). See description and photos.
We believe this is an advertising proof that was intended to be sent from the Kathryn Recorder newspaper in to the Van Cleve Advertising Company, but was sent to Van Cleef Brothers accidentally.
The Kathryn Recorder newspaper (Kathryn, North Dakota") was likely returning the document to the Van Cleve Advertising Agency. The letter from Van Cleef Brothers is included as provenance showing the date of September 21, 1916. This was found in the collection of documents from a former Shelby American employee, here in Las Vegas.
Measures approximately 25 inches wide by 17-7/8 inches tall.
Good condition for its age. Paper is yellowed or may have been that way originally. There are a few rips along the edges where fold lines are. Some edges are slightly tattered. Has been folded.
