Toko-Schadow was a joint venture between two electronics companies: Toko Inc., a Japanese manufacturer of electronic components, and Schadow GmbH, a German manufacturer of switches and controls. The joint venture was established in 1985 and was based in Schieder-Schwalenberg, Germany. Toko-Schadow specialized in the production of switches, potentiometers, and other electro-mechanical components for use in a variety of applications, including consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and automotive systems. The company operated for several years under the joint venture arrangement before eventually being acquired by Alps Electric, another major Japanese electronics company, in 2000.
