Trench Art Artillery Field Casing Ash Tray with bent Dix Centimes Napoleon III Empereur 1855 French Coin as cigar/cigarette holder. Engraved "1914 World War 1918". Center piece is what we think is a match holder with engraved eagle, flowers and branches and adorned with an Imperial German Soldier's Button.
The match holder rod does not fit perfectly to the base, but could probably be adjusted as necessary
Bottom of shell casing measures approximately 3-3/8" in diameter. Overall height is approximately 6"
Bottom of shell has the following markings:
75 DEC
PDPs 261L 18 Ky
75 DEC is the French marking for 75mm Canone de Champagne (75mm Field Gun)
18 Ky probably means it was made in 1918 and Ky would be the factory
Good condition for its age
